Join us for a timely discussion on the transformative role of digital health solutions in tackling NCDs

Digital health solutions are transforming the face of health service delivery across the globe. There are reportedly more than 7 billion mobile telephone subscriptions across the world, over 70% of which are in low- or middle-income countries. In many places, people are more likely to have access to a mobile telephone than to clean water.

Since 2012, the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and their partners through the Be He@lthy Be Mobile initiative (BHBM) have worked with governments to deliver digital health programs targeting non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention, management and risk factors. Millions of people have already been reached through the programs.

As countries seek innovative ways to prevent, manage and treat NCDs, digital health has emerged as a powerful enabler. From mobile-based interventions to integrated platforms, digital health offers scalable, cost-effective solutions that can transform NCD care. This event comes just one day after the fourth UN High-Level Meeting on the Prevention of NCDs and Mental Health, where world leaders will discuss the importance of digital technologies in scaling up action on NCDs and mental health conditions.

Join us for a timely discussion on the transformative role of digital health solutions in tackling NCDs as we reflect on over a decade of progress through the Be He@lthy Be Mobile Initiative.
