Student Inclusion, Involvement, and Leadership

NOTE: This celebration does not take the place of the official commencement ceremony, but adds a special touch to the official ceremony. 
This year will be the Inaugural Unity Roundtable Graduation Celebration. Unity Roundtable is a group of multicultural student organizations at Drake University working towards inclusion & educational opportunities. This will be a chance for us to celebrate the achievements of our graduating students that embrace multiculturalism and diversity. 
Location:
Drake University, Fine Arts Center, Performing Arts Hall 
Who can participate:
Any Drake University student that embraces multiculturalism and diversity. Registration is required prior to participation. Graduates are encouraged to invite family and close friends to participate.  
What to expect:
Graduates are highly encouraged to wear their official Drake regalia (cap and gown) as the program begins. Students are also encouraged to wear graduation sashes/stoles. During the celebration, participants receive a welcome from our Masters of Ceremony.  Following welcomes by faculty and staff, participants can expect keynote addresses provided by Drake student leaders about their unique experiences.  The program concludes with graduates and their families being individually recognized as the graduates receive a certificate of completion.
Light refreshments will be provided following the celebration.
Deadline:
Graduates must register for the event by May 10th at 11:59 p.m.
