About this event

GET READY TO RETURN TO THE ROARING 20's

Come in your best "Gatsby" attire and dance to great jazz music as the Milton Theatre presents the most fabulous night in its history... and all for a good cause!

The Milton Theatre is happy to announce the unGALA! The unGala will be the theatre’s annual fundraising event for The Milton Theatre Renaissance Initiative. Aimed to raise monies to bring significant changes to the building structures and enhance the theatre experience. The inaugural event, unGala: Bootlegger’s Ball, is scheduled for January 8, 2022 and will be our biggest and grandest fundraiser to date.

unGala: Bootlegger’s Ball

The Milton Theatre will be transformed into a speak-easy and the Roaring 20’s will be back with this prohibition-themed cocktail party. An evening of live jazz, flapper performers, and sparkling champagne. A chance for our community to gather, welcome the New Year and celebrate the remarkable history of our town’s landmark venue. Attendees of the Bootlegger's Ball are encouraged to dress up in their flapper best. And yes….SHHHHH…there will even be a secret code to enter.

LIVE Music By Good Shot Judy

Website | Facebook | YouTube | Twitter | Instagram

Good Shot Judy specializes in delivering top-notch Classic Vocal Jazz and recreating the classic nightclub entertainment feel of Las Vegas in its prime. Think Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Count Basie, glitz and glamour. Real entertainment from an era that was not only filled with great singers, performers, and great songs, but whose legacy has become synonymous with what great entertainment really is. It doesn’t end there though. Possessing a large repertoire of classic swingin’ big band hits, Good Shot Judy is also equally adept at delivering classic ballads, and cocktail music.

From the swingin’ sounds of Sinatra, Basie, and contemporaries like Michael Buble, and Harry Connick Jr., to the beautiful ballads of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and back to the high energy Latin Dance big band sound, Good Shot Judy has got you covered! Now... Let it Swing Baby!

FOOD BY: Chef Hari Cameron

Hari Cameron was born into an eclectic family, one that followed his father’s guru from their native Delaware to Maryland and New York before finally settling back in Delaware when Cameron was 11. All the while, he and his brothers tucked into cuisines from around the world, reveling in sushi, Thai food, and curries. When Cameron was struggling with dyslexia and ADD, kitchens grounded him. He began working front of house at The Buttery in Lewes, Delaware and got his first taste of the kitchen while filling in at the salad station.

Next, he landed at Espuma in Rehoboth Beach. Inspired by owner Kevin Reading, Cameron attended The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia. He reunited with Reading in 2004 when the restaurateur opened Nage (now Fork + Flask). Throughout his seven years at Nage, Cameron exercised and strengthened his skills and creativity, preparing him for his first solo project.

In 2012, Cameron opened a(MUSE.), a small eatery in Rehoboth Beach. Three years later he launched casual, pasta-focused Grandpa (MAC) with his brother Orion, now with two locations. For his progressive, Mid-Atlantic cuisine at a(MUSE.), Cameron earned national attention, making the shortlist for James Beard’s “Rising Star Chef” in 2013, “Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic” in 2015 and 2016, and earning a StarChefs Rising Stars Award in 2018.
