Undesign the Redline DC project is a community-led project organized by a community advisory group and a planning team of congregants from a few houses of worship in Ward 3, including St. Columba's Episcopal Church, Adas Israel Congregation, Temple Sinai, Temple Micah, Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Undesign the Redline is an interactive exhibit connecting the intentional and systematic racial housing segregation of the 1930s to political and social issues of today through the powerful narratives of the people and communities affected by redlining and its legacy. The exhibit not only seeks to explore this history of redlining and displacement of communities of color in upper NW DC, but also be inspired to act by stories of vision and change.
