Overview

This 2-hour class is for caregivers who want to learn about special education and other services within the public school system.

Registration opens at 9:00 am on 11/10/2025

These classes are open to everyone, including caregivers whose children are seen in DDBP, caregivers of children with developmental delays or disabilities not seen in DDBP, and professionals, providers, and educators who want to learn more about supporting youth with developmental delays or disabilities.

This 2-hour class for caregivers is designed to provide an introduction to services within the public school system, including Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans. Attendees learn the basics for accessing school-based services, from eligibility to determination of specific services and supports, and leave with resources to assist in navigating the process. This class is delivered virtually via Zoom.
