Overview
Understanding Psychosis will review the definition of psychosis and common symptoms of individuals who experience psychosis. Additionally, differential diagnosis will be discussed along with the different causes, course, prognosis, and treatment options. The training will offer strategies for assessing psychosis most effectively as well as key components to successful treatment and intervention. Case examples will also be shared to highlight the different presentations of psychosis that may appear in our work with consumers.
Presenter
Dr. Jon Grapengieser is a licensed psychologist who received his doctoral degree from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology. He provides clinical supervision and consultation as well as psychological evaluation at Professional Services Group, Inc. Dr. Grapengieser also oversees Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) adult care coordination in Milwaukee, Kenosha and Washington County.
