Identifying, supporting, and engaging neurodivergent students
Online
This one-hour webinar explores the intersection of neurodiversity and the BIT/CARE process, focusing on effectively identifying, supporting, and engaging neurodivergent students while maintaining a student-centered approach. Participants will learn about common challenges, misconceptions, and best practices for addressing behavioral concerns without pathologizing differences. The session will provide practical strategies for fostering inclusive interventions, improving communication, and collaborating with campus partners to ensure neurodivergent students receive the support they need to thrive. With InterACTT President Dr. Chris Taylor and Jeanne Clifton from Salem State University.
InterACTT has teamed with DPrep Safety to share these monthly conversations related to threat and violence risk assessment in K-12, college, and workplace cases. Our team and expert guests will discuss topics related to risk and protective factors, interviewing techniques, deception detection, impression management, social media threat, incels, white supremacy, gatekeeping/triage, behavioral intervention teams, cultural competency, report writing, and case management.
