The Monterey Community Center is excited to host Senior Teacher Naturalist Nicaela Haig from Mass Audubon for an immersive 90-minute workshop on bird behavior.
What to Expect:
- Part 1 (Indoor Presentation): We will begin inside the MCC with a 45-minute presentation exploring how birds interact with their environment, their unique behaviors, and what to look for in the field.
- Part 2 (Outdoor Guided Walk): We will head outside onto the MCC grounds for a 45-minute guided walk to observe local bird activity in real-time.
Whether you are a lifelong birder or just curious about the wildlife in your backyard, this session provides a unique opportunity to learn from a Mass Audubon expert. 🦜🌳
Important Details:
- Binoculars: Mass Audubon will provide 20 pairs of binoculars for participants to use during the outdoor portion.
- Group Size: To ensure everyone has a great view and to avoid scaring off the birds, this event is strictly limited to 20 participants.
- Weather: In the event of inclement weather, we may move the program entirely indoors or reschedule.
