Understanding behavior in young children is central to creating nurturing, predictable, and responsive early learning environments. Behavior is not "good" or "bad" it is communication. Young children express their needs, emotions and developing skills through actions log before they have the language to explain how they feel.

Training Objectives:

  1. Learners will develop at least 3 strategies to support positive behavior and reduce triggers.
  2. Learners will participate in developing action steps that use empathy as a means for connection.
  3. Learners will develop action steps that promote a supportive and constructive environment.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
