Part 2 of the Understanding Behavior to Improve Teaching and Classroom Management

This is Part 2 of the Understanding Behavior training, which will begin with a brief review of the variables surrounding behavior, and what we can do to modify antecedents or outcomes (consequences) in order to improve and increase the learning of all.In Part 2, participants will learn about using the Pathway Chart tool to brainstorm around student behaviors that are interfering with learning, and have the opportunity to take part in the Pathway analysis process around one or more behaviors of concern. Participants are encouraged to be thinking about a student and situation they are currently working with/on.Evidence Based strategies for preventing and reducing challenging behaviors will be discussed. This training is facilitiated by the LCOE Autism Programming and Behavior Support Senior Director, Michela Figini-Myers.Participants will have opportunities to ask specific questions about behaviors they are currently trying to address in their classroom or environment.This training is open to all individuals who work with students.Stipends are available to LCOE Preschool staff who attend.
