Under Friedl’s Wing

The children’s barracks at Theresenshadt is an unusual place to find joy, but then Friedl Dicker-Brandeis was an unusual artist. With only scraps of paper scavenged in the camp, a few painting supplies from home and one small window out of the barracks, Friedl opened a space for children to find moments of reprieve and creative inspiration in otherwise terrifying circumstances.

”Under Friedl’s Wing” - a puppet and painted object play with music and audience art making comes to Manny’s for one night before before it’s European Tour in April of 2027.
