Kapilina Beach Homes, in partnership with `Ukulele Project Hawai`i, invite you to participate in this free and interactive session. Whether you're just starting out, or you have a shelf full of Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards—join us as we celebrate one of Hawai`i's most notable musical instruments. That's right, no experience or equipment necessary. Come and learn to play the `ukulele!

This event is scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at Kapilina Hale (community center). You must RSVP via Eventbrite to each session individually in order to reserve a seat. Dates:

Tips

Here are several helpful tips that will help to make your experience as enjoyable as possible:

  1. You are welcome to bring your own instrument (`ukulele only) but if you do not have one, we do have a few to lend during the session.
  2. If you are thinking about purchasing an `ukulele, varying body sizes will be available for you to sample (i.e., soprano, concert, and tenor).
  3. Print and digital versions of each session's sheet music will be made available to you.

Seating is limited. RSVP via Eventbrite is required. We welcome all to attend (this event is open to the general public) and we ask that all attendees be considerate of the volunteer instructors and guests. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Kapilina Beach Homes is a gated community. All visitors, 18 years of age or older, must be prepared to present a valid federal or state issued form of identification. Furthermore, operators of motor vehicles must present a valid state issued driver's license; and, valid motor vehicle registration and proof of motor vehicle insurance, or motor vehicle rental agreement.
