CASTis a nonprofit education research and development organization that works to expand learning opportunities for all individuals throughUniversal Design for Learning (UDL). At CAST, we know that barriers to learning are in education design, not individual learners. We developed UDL to help break down these barriers so that all learners can shape their own learning journey and reach their potential.We elevate learning at every level with meticulous research and innovative professional development.The CAST team includes about 50 talented employees, including world-class educators, learning scientists, instructional designers, literacy experts, policy analysts, UX and graphic designers, software engineers, and a first-rate administrative and executive staff.

<p>Though the UDL framework has been widely adopted across the globe, it can be a challenge to assess if individuals are truly implementing it. The CAST UDL Credentials can help.</p><p>Our credentialing program helps to stimulate, support, and sustain best practices in utilizing UDL. The Credentials support growth in inclusive practices in educational contexts and also provide a baseline criteria for implementation.</p><p>The three updated credentials provide an opportunity for participants to gain feedback on their understanding, analysis, and application of UDL.</p><p><br></p><h3>Credential 1 - UDL Mindset</h3><p>In this credential, you will share your understanding of key concepts that are important for Universal Design for Learning (UDL). It is the perfect starting point on your UDL journey. Estimated time to complete: 30 minutes - 2 hours. This is a great way to start observing UDL in action. Estimated time to complete: 2 - 4 hours. This is a great way to start applying UDL to your work. Estimated time to complete: 10-12 hour.
