As part of UDC CAUSES Culinary Arts Summer Camp, DC area youth interested in cooking, culinary arts, and delicious food will learn culinary arts skills while creating unique dishes from several different cultural cuisines. Chef Herbert Holden of CAUSES’ Center for Diet, Nutrition, and Health will teach campers techniques needed to follow recipes, prep food, use kitchen equipment safely and hygienically, and cook their favorite dishes. Campers will also learn about health and food nutrition along the way!

All campers must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver form included in the registration process to participate.

Important Registration Information

Registration is on a first come first serve basis, with a maximum capacity of 15 participants.

Participants must be 12-16 years of age and residents of the District of Columbia.

Participants under the age of 14 must have an adult age 18 or older present during the camp hours.

Participants must obtain transportation to and from UDC Van Ness each day.

Registration closes on June 28th, 2024
