Ubuntu Gala

Organizer of Ubuntu GalaEast End Neighborhood House is a multi service neighborhood organization, originally founded as a settlement house.  For the past 112 years, East End has been committed to serving the Buckeye neighborhood in Cleveland Ohio.  Every year a mighty team of about 30 social servants service 1,200 individuals with a humble budget of 2 Million dollars.

The Ubuntu Gala is an Award Ceremony/Fund Raiser.
Ubuntu is a humanistic philosophy from South Africa that recognizes the interconnectedness of human beings, and for the past decade, it has driven the practice of service by East Ends staff.
The Ubuntu Gala was created by CEO Zulma Zabala to recognize this practice of service, compassionately delivered by the staff of East End Neighborhood House. Every Year, the staff and close neighbors have celebrated each other in an intimate setting without much fanfare. Last year was the first time the event was held as a mini concert to really celebrate the staff of East End. This year, for the very first time in the awards 11th year history, the mini concert is now a grand Gala with more entertainers and promised collectivism for celebration.
This year we decided to focus on the theme of "Cleveland's Local Gems". Inclusive of a course of East End's staff, the performing acts, Products/gifts for auction, and volunteers. Each representing Cleveland as a "Local Gem".
Featuring artist such as Mariama Whyte, D Hawk, Virgo and Keynote Speaker Zulma Zabala.
The attire is Semi Formal.
