Youth Empowerment Program:
The goal of the Youth Empowerment Program is to provide high school aged and college school aged students with an understanding of emotional wellness and provide resources that will assist in expressing themselves and supporting their friends.
The life long value of the YEP is that it will teach coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and mental health difficulties as well as develop beneficial health habits. We also have a goal of presenting valuable topics that have the capacity to improve their lives and work opportunities.
About Young Shark Competition:
DYCD calls all youth aged 14 to 24 to apply for the Young Sharks Competition! Throughout the 14-week workshop starting in February, participants will have the unique opportunity to start their own business. The journey involves crafting a product design, developing a business plan, constructing a prototype, etc with step-by step guidance.This competition offers Teams the chance to win up to $2500 in seed funding for your innovative business idea.
