Overview

Join us for the Typewriter Gathering, where vintage keys meet new friends and stories come alive in person!

Typewriter Gathering

Travel back in time before digital documents could be made at a click of a button! Join us at Burwood Library for a fun meet-up where typewriter lovers come together!

Bring your favorite vintage typewriter(s) or just yourself, share tips, meet some new people (or their typewriters) and enjoy some good old-fashioned typing. It's all about the joy of clacking keys and connecting with fellow enthusiasts in person.

Whether you're an experienced repairer, a knowledgeable collector or a curious new comer, this is the perfect chance to celebrate all things typewriter related!

Come join us in the Community Hub and perhaps you may learn a new thing or two while admiring various models throughout the twentieth century!

Please note all typewriters available for viewing or use during this event depend on event participants and as such, please note that any contact or use of all typewriters are subject to the owner’s consent.

Registration per attendee is essential as there are limited spaces available. Please complete this registration form here.

Please note this event is not appropriate for unattended children as typewriters are artifacts that require gentle handling and care. Respect and consent will be enforced during this event to ensure all typewriters remain in the condition of which they arrive.

Paid parking is available nearby via street parking, Burwood Westfield, Burwood plaza/Emerald Square.
