Two-Part Comic Drawing Class
Fridays, May 9 and 16
Plan, create and draw your own comic! In this class, students will plan a comic based on a story they make up or from existing literature, then make a large-scale painted piece inspired by the work of Roy Lichtenstein.
Class 1 (5/9): Brainstorm ideas, write comic story and draw out/plan the comic by drawing the panel/panels, story, any dialogue, etc. May sketch out the comic onto whatever canvas will be used. Possibly start painting, time permitting.
Class 2 (5/16): Using painting materials and canvas, paint the comic onto the provided canvas.
