About this event

Two Families Now Parenting Class presented by Court Support for Families, Inc.

This online, interactive 4-hour class is designed to meet the needs of parents who are raising children in separate households, whether those parents are still married, are separated or divorced, or were never married. It is also appropriate for grandparents, step-parents and other caregivers. Participants will leave the class with increased knowledge of developmental factors that affect children.

What you will learn:

  • How to help your children adjust during separation and/or divorce
  • How to reduce co-parenting conflict
  • About different co-parenting styles
  • The parenting skills that buffer children from risk
  • What to include in a parenting plan
  • How mediation can help you create a parenting plan

Court Approved Parenting Class

This Class meets the requirements of the Guilford County District Court. This Class will satisfy a parent's requirements under the Order and Notice of Court Events issued in all custody and visitation cases in Guilford County.

Online classes with Zoom information to be provided in an email from Court Support for Families the Thursday before the class.

Please provide notice at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend a class for which you have registered. Court Support does not refund class fees under any circumstances. However, in certain circumstances, Court Support may allow you to reschedule your class date.
