Two days in wine country at one of the most unique venues in America
When it comes to unique venues in the United States, Brambles is at the top of the list. Raw and rugged, Brambles embraces a very naturalistic and minimalist approach to their maintenance. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and overseen by James Duncan, the course features amazing architecture in a surreal setting north of Napa Valley. You have to see it to believe it.
This event will be a smaller field of 48 players and all participants will be treated to a member-like day. There will be no shotguns, just tee times, and you'll have the ability to soak in all Brambles has to offer for two days. If you want the perfect October getaway to wine country, this is it.

Course Information
Brambles
North of Napa Valley, Brambles opened in 2023 as an ode to golf principles found overseas. Designed by Coore & Crenshaw with associate James Duncan leading the way, the course was carved out of its natural environment and aims to be inclusive of its landscape. It embraces a minimalist style and aims to keep its water useage to a minimum, even using on-site wells to assist with irrigation. Hear more about this mission in Fried Egg Golf's All Grass is Local YouTube video on Brambles, featuring James Duncan and Superintendent Tyler Marcotte.
Travel Information
- AIRPORTS - The biggest airports within driving distance are Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) are the best bets for most people. If you live on the west coast, you could find a flight to Charles M. Shultz-Sonoma County Airport (STS).
- HOTELS - If you want to stay as close as possible to Brambles, you can look at the Eagle & Rose Inn (BnB) and Twin Pine Casino & Hotel in Middletown. Down in Calistoga, you'll find far more options with a variety of stays. The Mount View Hotel and Calistoga Inn are great options in town that are pretty affordable. You can also look at the Best Western Plus. On the premium side of things, there is a Four Seasons and Solage on the east end of Calistoga.
