TWIN CITIES MEAL PACK FOR 9/11 DAY:
In the Twin Cities, 1,000 volunteers will come together at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium to pack 300,000 meals for people experiencing food insecurity in the local community. The meals will be donated to Second Harvest Heartland. Nationwide, more than 25,000 volunteers will pack 8 million meals for those at risk of hunger in America.

SUPPORT STAFF:
Our "Support Staff" volunteers ensure that everything runs smoothly, everyone has a great time, and all our meals are packed and delivered to where they are needed most. Register today to be part of this amazing event. We need:

  • Table Captains: Lead a meal packing assembly line! Train volunteers as they arrive, troubleshoot and answer questions throughout the shift, and keep energy levels and spirits high.
  • Heavy Lifters: Keep tables supplied with meal ingredients and carry completed boxes to be loaded onto pallets. Note: This role requires the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly for about 90 minutes.
  • Hospitality Hosts: Assist with check-in, provide directional support for volunteers as they arrive, and keep food and drinks stocked in our staff training room.
  • Set Up and Break Down Support: Help prepare the room before the event and clean up afterward.

    The Commitment:
  • One-hour training session via Zoom, scheduled a week before the event.
  • Approximately 4 hours on the day of the event. Shift times may vary.
