About this event

Twilight Paddle Adventures are a great way to spend an evening away from the hustle and bustle of work, traffic and the cares of life. Follow the expert guides as they lead you along Belmont Bay in the evening and into Kane's Creek, a pristine preserve for waterfowl, animals and a retreat for humans. As the light begins to fade so do the sounds of the daytime animals and nocturnal animals start to make their voices heard.

Twilight paddles are 18 and over. Please arrive on time at the car-top boat launch to get fitted with PFDs and receive basic paddling instructions. Boats will be launched once the safety briefing is complete, 30 minutes after the start of the program. Water, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, and closed toed shoes are required. Check the FAQ for more information.

Reservations are required. Cost of reservation is $20 per person and includes all paddle equipment and parking. Each ticket holds a reservation for one person. Reservations are not complete until payment is made to the park.

Request for refunds can be made up to seven days before the event. Requests made less than seven days from the event can only be offered to reschedule to another paddle tour.

Frequently asked questions

What time should I arrive?

Arrive to the car-top boat launch on foot at the scheduled start time for the event. Arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the start time will allow time to park, use the restrooms, and walk to the launch. There is no parking at the paddle launch.

Do I need to pay for parking?

Your parking fee is included in the cost of registration for the event.

What should I wear?

Appropriate clothing for the weather, activity level, and closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Below is a link to a guide for recommended kayaking clothing. https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/kayaking-what-to-wear.html

I've never been kayaking before. Is this good for beginners?

Yes, this guided paddle is suitable for beginners. Guides will be there to assist when needed and have completed required safety training prior to leading tours.

Why can't I select a ticket for a tandem (or solo) kayak?

This means we have either reached capacity for the event or the style of boat you prefer. If we have reached capacity, then check other dates or join our waitlist. If we are out of a particular style of boat, we cannot add more. Proper safety ratios need to be maintained.
