Take advantage of Malibu's $5/sq ft turf replacement rebate and join us at Malibu City Hall (Multi-Purpose Room), on Saturday, September 21, 2019 for a free Turf Removal and Garden Transformation workshop hosted by the City of Malibu's Environmental Sustainability Department. Learn how to remove your lawn and make the right moves for creating a gorgeous, watershed wise landscape including:<ul><li>Evaluate the Opportunities in Your Landscape</li><li>Plan for Your Garden Transformation</li><li>Identify the Type of Turf Grass in Your Yard</li><li>Remove Grass Without Chemicals</li><li>Build Healthy Living Soil</li><li>Select Climate-appropriate Plants that Minimize Water Use and Maximize Beauty and Biodiversity</li><li>Implement a Maintenance Schedule that Keeps Your Yard Gorgeous All Year ‘Round</li></ul>The class is free, but registration is required, as seating is limited.Start time is 9:00 am, so try to arrive a tad early to settle into your seat. Parking is plentiful in the adjacent lot.This workshop is part of Malibu Smart, a comprehensive water conservation program that includes enhanced incentives for water saving devices and free workshops and water surveys.
