Join The Shutterbug for a full-day photography workshop experience at the stunning Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival! Spend the day shooting vibrant tulip fields while learning hands-on techniques in macro, landscape, lighting, and golden hour portrait photography.
With brand reps from Canon and Sony on-site for demos and gear support, this immersive workshop is perfect for photographers of all levels looking to sharpen their skills and capture spring in full bloom!
All ages, all brands welcome! Bring the camera you want to use, whether it is Canon, Sony, Nikon, or anything else!
📸 What You’ll Learn
Throughout the day, we’ll host focused workshop sessions covering:
🌷 Macro Photography with Canon (9:30-10:45)
Capture intricate details, textures, and color with close-up techniques designed to make tulips pop.
🌄 Landscape Photography with Canon (11:15-12:30)
Learn composition strategies for photographing sweeping rows of flowers, leading lines, depth, and dramatic spring skies.
💡 Lighting Techniques (1:30-3:00)
Master harsh midday sun, backlighting, reflectors, and creative light control in outdoor environments.
🌅 Golden Hour Portraits with Sony (4pm–7pm)
End the day with cinematic, glowing portraits in the tulip fields during golden hour — the most magical light of the day.
🤝 Hands-On with Canon & Sony
Representatives from Canon and Sony will be on-site throughout the day offering:
- Camera and lens demos
- Shooting tips specific to each system
- Autofocus and settings guidance
- Hands-on opportunities to try select gear
This is your chance to ask questions, test equipment, and learn directly from industry experts in a real-world shooting environment.
We will have the latest and greatest gear from Sony and Canon for class attendees!
