The TUESDAY Downriver PEAC Summer Cycling Program will take place on Tuesdays with 50 minute cycling instruction sessions at 9:00 am, 2:00 pm, or 3:00 pm. This will take place at Willow Metropark in New Boston. Assessments will be the firsti week of program on Tuesday, June 18th.

During this first day, you will attend a 30 minute session in which you will do the following:

  • Meet the staff
  • Set your cycling goals
  • Ask any remaining questions you have

The cost of the program will be $60 per participant, with thanks to our supporters, including DALMAC for subsidizing the program costs. If cost is a barrier, we have scholarships available to meet you where you are at. Our motto is 'Everyone can ride', and being financially accessible is important to us.

If you have more than one participant, you must register them separately. Students must be five years or older to participate in the program. The TUESDAY Downriver site meets on the following dates: 6/18, 6/25, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30, and 8/6.

2024 Information

  • Assessments: The first week of program will be exclusively for assessments. This will help staff members better get to know each participant. Through this registration, you will be signing up for a specific 30 minute session on Tuesday, June 18th. Your assessment is a secured time to meet staff, learn more about the program, and ask any questions you may have.
  • Time Session: You will be registering for 1 of 2 types of registrations. Please make sure to read all the information below.

1) Secured Session Time: This registration will be a specific time session. For the Downriver site, you will be signing up for a session at 9:00, 2:00, or 3:00. Due to the wide range of abilities and supports required for participants, there will be 9 slots available for the Secured Time Session.

2) Flexible Session Time: This registration will be for a range of 3 sessions. Based on Assessment Day results, your Site Coordinator will place the participant in one of the 3 sessions, the session that is most supportive of the student’s riding goals. Your session time will NOT be finalized until after Assessment Day. There will be 4 Flexible Session Time slots available. Students will be put in the 9:00, 2:00, or 3:00 session times.

  • Groups Size: The program is a group program with 1 instructor for 2 students.
  • Students: The program is open to anyone over the age of 5. We have a fleet of equipment that is inclusive of all abilities.
  • Scholarships: There are need-based scholarships available that will cover 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the program. In order to apply for a scholarship, please make sure to follow all prompts on this registration. After registering, you will receive an email with a short scholarship application.
  • Waitlist: We encourage you to sign up for the waitlist of the site(s) you are interested in. We work through the wait list throughout the summer.
