Nationally Known Plenary Speakers:

  • Andrew Freedman: As the co-founder of Freedman & Koski, Inc., Andrew became known as Colorado’s first Marijuana Czar after being appointed the state’s Director of Marijuana Coordination by the Governor. In his keynote with Ashley Kilroy, Andrew will discuss how policy has been developed after voters legalized marijuana, and show how youth and youth advocates play a role in policy and law making processes.
  • Rosalind Wiseman: DPYS is proud to bring Rosalind Wiseman, founder of Cultures of Dignity and author of Queen Bees and Wannabes and the Owning Up Curriculum to pull back the curtain on what’s really going on in young people’s lives and why they’re reluctant to ask adults for help. She will highlight the reasons why a student can be disconnected and disengaged in class; from negative peer social dynamics, conflicts online that have spilled into the classroom, substance about, and/or problems at home.

  • Free Parking (7th Street Parking Garage: 777 7th St. Denver, CO 80204; parking vouchers will be given out at registration table on the day of the event and can be presented upon exiting the garage)
