The Puget Sound Zero Emissions Truck Collaborative is developing a plan to transition the diesel-fueled drayage trucks serving NWSA terminals at Port of Seattle and/or Port of Tacoma to zero-emission vehicles by 2050, or sooner. With incentives from the federal and state governments on the rise, the ports of Seattle and Tacoma see this as an ideal time to begin planning the transition from diesel to zero-emission drayage trucks, such as electric/battery, and reduce a significant source of air pollution that contributes to public health risks and environmental health disparities, especially in communities living near the harbors and along major freight corridors.

Drayage truck drivers that service the NWSA terminals at the Port of Seattle and/or the Port of Tacoma are invited to attend one of two in-person sessions to learn about the 2050 Decarbonizing Drayage Roadmap project and share your ideas on how to make this transition to zero-emission trucks equitable for everyone. At this listening session, we will ask participants a series of questions to better understand the opportunities and challenges of switching to zero-emission technologies. Each active participant will receive a $200 VISA e-gift card, up to 12 drivers for each session. This will be emailed to each individual, using the email address provided at registration, AFTER you have completed the listening session.

Food and refreshments will be available.

Los conductores de camiones que prestan servicio en las terminales de la Alianza de Puertos del Noroeste (Northwest Seaport Alliance, NWSA) en el Puerto de Seattle o el Puerto de Tacoma están invitados a asistir a una de las dos sesiones presenciales para informarse sobre el proyecto de Hoja de Ruta de Descarbonización del Transporte 2050 y compartir sus ideas sobre cómo lograr que esta transición hacia camiones de emisiones cero sea equitativa para todos. En esta reunión se planteará a los participantes una serie de preguntas para comprender mejor las oportunidades y los obstáculos que plantea el paso a las tecnologías de emisiones cero. Cada participante activo recibirá una tarjeta de regalo electrónica VISA de $200, hasta alcanzar 12 conductores por cada reunión. Se enviará por correo electrónico a cada participante, a la dirección de correo electrónico indicada en el momento de la inscripción, DESPUÉS de que haya finalizado la reunión. Se ofrecerá comida y refrescos. No es necesario imprimir la inscripción o el tique.
