Ken Myers of Mars Hill Audio will be the dinner speaker at Theopolis's Trinity Feast on the evening of July 16, 2024.

Josef Pieper writes in his In Tune with the World that the spirit of festivity is an expression of “an absolutely universal affirmation extending to the world as a whole, to the reality of things and the existence of man himself."

Pieper is echoed by Oliver O’Donovan's anti-Gnostic emphasis on the redemptive restoration of creation.

O'Donovan writes, “The sign that God has stood by his created order implies that this order, with mankind in its proper place in it, is to be totally restored at the last.”

The Fall doesn’t cancel our assent to and celebration of Being. Even in a fallen world, festive joy is the proper mood of human life.

Join us for food, drink, conversation, song, laughter, and Myers's meditation on “Eden, Easter, and the Propriety of Parties.”
