Announcing the Trial Skills and Ethics Escape hosted by Trial by Human, sponsored by Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley/Trial by Human, and hosted by Ellen Pansky.
Recharge renew and re-energize your practice and yourself with new ideas, practical skills, live interactive demonstrations, great food and yoga all in the gorgeous setting of historic Santa Barbara. This will be a seminar unlike any you have ever attended.  
Too often at CLE panels across the country, we hear bragging about past results, academic presentations, or lectures on what you cannot do in the courtroom.  Often they are taught by lawyers who do not go to trial.  It’s just not as useful as it should be.  
Top trial lawyers will demonstrate and participants will then break into smaller groups to work on how to properly and ethically conduct your best Jury selection, opening statement, direct examination, cross-examination, and closing arguments.  This seminar will arm you with real techniques and methodology that you can actually use in trial.  Experienced Trial Judges will explain what is acceptable, unacceptable and why.  In the end, you will be better trained and prepared to creatively – zealously - passionately- but ethically – present each part of your case in a way that persuades, connects with, and never bores, jurors or judges.  Participants will be expected to actually practice on their feet in a safe, but fun and exciting, forum.
Take advantage of this limited opportunity to try the things you have always wanted to try in court, but not sure how it would go in front of the judge.
In addition to the program, there will be time for socializing and relaxing.  Bring your family with you.  Make it a fun wonderful weekend in Santa Barbara during a beautiful time of year.  
The 2018 Trial Ethics Seminar starts Friday, October 5, 2018 (4:00 p.m. registration), and runs through Monday, October 8, 2018 (2:00 p.m.).  Registration includes one room Friday and Saturday nights; breakfast, lunch, snacks, and yoga on Saturday and Sunday; and the best CLE seminar of the year.
Lawyers who go to trial – or want to – from across the country are welcome.
Notes: 
1. Your ticket INCLUDES a room at the Canary on Friday and Saturday, if you would like to stay the night on Sunday please add that option at check out.  
2. If more than one registrant is sharing a room, please e-mail seminars@trialbyhuman.com for details on how to register for the conference. 
3. An application requesting MCLE credit for this activity is pending for approval by the State Bar of California.
