Tree School Afternoon (6 - 11 years old)

Phytology is an artist & community led project exploring the use, value, resilience and function of wildness within urban ecosystems.Launched at Bethnal Green Nature Reserve in 2014, Phytology is part physic garden; part cultural institute; part urban wilderness; and a platform for collaboration between artists, musicians, writers and a wide variety of community groups.

<DIV>The Bethnal Green Nature Reserve hosts a week-long summer school for local children and young people in Bethnal Green.</DIV>
<DIV>The course will explore the historic and contemporary relationship between humans and trees - including food, shelter, habitat and oxygen production. The Tree School will be delivered by Ecologists, Artists, Scientists and Forest School Teachers. </DIV>

<DIV>Children's afternoon session: 6 - 11 years old</DIV>
<DIV>2pm - 5pm, Monday till Friday</DIV>

<DIV>£5 refundable deposit to secure a place.</DIV>
<DIV>Students will be expected to enrolled for the full 5 days - 12 places only.</DIV>
