Tree Love on the Block: A Street Tree Care Day

Show some tree love! Celebrate City of Forest Day by mulching, planting bulbs, and restoring local tree beds in East Williamsburg.

Calling volunteers!

Join Sunshine Community Garden for a local tree care day on McKibbin & Seigel Streets!

We’ll clean out weeds, mix in compost, plant bulbs, and spread mulch to nurture our neighborhood trees. We’ll meet and wrap up at the garden.

As a thank-you, volunteers will receive a free gardening tool kit to take home — brand new and perfect for your own green space!

This is part of City of Forest Day — a citywide celebration of NYC’s urban forest and the people who care for it. Come be a part of something bigger!

Beverages will be available, and volunteers are welcome to bring light snacks to enjoy together as we wind down after the work is done.

• Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
• All tools will be provided — just bring your enthusiasm and helping hands!
