Join us for a guided hiking tour through the beautiful Haddington Woods in West Philadelphia, hosted by Tree In Me LLC, an environmental education consulting company dedicated to promoting sustainable land care, environmental education, and staff training. Haddington Woods, a hidden gem in the heart of West Philly, is home to diverse native plants and trees, offering a peaceful escape with a rich history of local flora. The tour will be led by our expert educator and lead consultant, who will guide you along the 1-mile trail while delving into the fascinating world of Pennsylvania’s native plants and trees.
During the hike, we’ll use the Seek App to introduce you to a variety of local trees and plants, pointing out both native species and invasive ones along the way. Participants will also enjoy a stop at a scenic waterfall, where we’ll take a short break to appreciate the beauty of nature. Along with the plant and tree exploration, you'll learn about Green Stormwater Infrastructure and its role in protecting our environment.
This walk is not just about hiking, it’s about connecting with nature and gaining a deeper understanding of the plants that make up our local ecosystem. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes or boots suitable for a trail hike. Light refreshments will be provided to keep you energized. There will be a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals.
At Tree In Me LLC, we are passionate about fostering environmental awareness and helping individuals and organizations grow their knowledge of sustainable land practices.
