Sustainable Solano is a grassroots, countywide movement uniting people through work that aims to serve the future of Solano County, to promote ecologically regenerative, economically and socially just communities in a world that works for everyone. We nurture initiatives for the good of the whole. Sustainable Solano has grown out of decades of dedicated community work that started with community gardens and has grown to include an emphasis on creating sustainable, regenerative environments, community capacity building, supporting local food systems and building youth leadership and workforce skills for a better future.

Welcome to Tree Guild 101!Come join us for a fun and informative session at Dixon Library to learn how to create a "tree guild" that will help your trees thrive. We will cover the essentials of building a self-supporting, permaculture-based community around your trees. Topics covered:<ul><li>tree guild definition</li><li>how to build a tree guild</li><li>swales/berms</li><li>water savings</li><li>building healthy soil with wood chips</li><li>companion plants</li></ul> Dixon Youth Air Protectors will be participating in the event and doing a quick survey on air quality. email nicole@sustainablesolano.org if you have any questions
