Tree Fruit Pruning
Overview

Observe Best Practices for Pruning Fruit Trees such as Fig, Pear, and Apples.

Fruit Trees should be pruned in the dormant season to regulate growth, increase fruit yields, improve fruit size and quality, and maintain longterm plant health.

Come out for a demonstration and discussion for some of the best practices for pruning newly purchased or overgrown neglected fruit trees. We will be demonstrating how to properly train and prune apple and fig trees to get the best production in years to come.

For more information or questions contact Extension Agent, Celine Richard (cvrichar@ncsu.edu, 336-703-2869). You can also learn more about pruning on our website.
