Trauma-Informed Community Development (TICD) A pathway to public health infrastructureDevelop your skills as a trauma-informed neighborhood/community leader.Trauma is a shared experience of suffering that characterizes the personal experiences of many community residents. Chronic unemployment, crime, drugs, homelessness, hunger, abuse, poverty, and most profoundly brokenness and radical isolation have all created a culture informed first and foremost by trauma. For this reason, trauma is the foundation upon which the community worldview is laid.By applying the Trauma-Informed Community Development (TICD) framework you can help revitalize trauma-affected areas by establishing and promoting resilient, healing, and healthy communities.Completing the TICD foundation places you on the pathway to:<ul><li>Community health deputy</li></ul><ul><li>Trauma response training</li></ul><ul><li>Community analysis</li></ul>Questions, please send an email to oce@linfield.eduIf you are unable to attend a course/workshop and provide at least 24-hour notice before the class starts, all fees will be refunded. No refund will be given once a class has started.
