Trauma-informed practice involves understanding and communicating about trauma in a way that acknowledges and respects the existing beliefs and experiences of individuals, organizations, and communities. This online, self-paced training emphasizes trauma-informed communication, highlighting the importance of grasping and effectively conveying the science of adversity, trauma, and resilience. Participants will learn strategies for effectively communicating trauma-informed concepts, with a focus on safety, trust, and empathy.

As a result of this course, participants will be prepared to:

1. Define trauma-informed practice and explain its significance in various settings.

2. Learn to recognize and respect the existing beliefs and experiences of individuals, organizations, and communities when discussing trauma.

3. Learn practical strategies to implement trauma-informed communication in daily interactions and organizational practices.
