If you interact with people, this course is for you!

Exposure to trauma has a significant and wide-ranging impact on physical, mental, and emotional health. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, personally and professionally, cultivates compassion and curiosity about what may affect someone's current behavior.

Presented by Trauma-Informed Utah, with support from the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, this Trauma Awareness Seminar outlines the path to being more trauma-informed by answering the following questions:

  • What is Trauma?
  • What is the impact of trauma and how do I recognize possible trauma reactions?
  • How can I be more effective in working with people with a trauma history?
  • How can I care for myself as I work with people who have experienced trauma?
