About this event
Science tells us that brains are built in a predictable "bottom up" fashion. But when toxic stress, those serious or pervasive events in a child's life happen, they can derail that health brain development. This can show up in youth and adults as increase negative health outcomes such as substance use disorder, mental health issues, increases in cancer and inflammatory disease. Science also tells us that resilience - building connections in strategic ways - can be built across the course of a lifetime to mitigate adverse childhood experiences.
We ask that you try to be prepared to have your camera on during the training session.
