Explore the potential healing benefit of breathwork and how it can foster self-exploration, self-discovery, and wholeness in one’s life.  Transpersonal Breathwork is a breathing technique that can foster a cathartic re-experience of one’s biographical history, the birth process, and experiences of archetypal and cosmic nature. The experience of breathwork can be cathartic in nature, releasing stored physical or emotional energy, or it can be extremely calming and relaxing. There are a wide variety of experiences one can experience, but many of these experiences, despite their nature, can help one create meaning and wholeness in life.  The theory and technique of Transpersonal Breathwork stem directly from Stan and Christina Grof’s Holotropic Breathwork. The five components of breathwork are; intensified breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, group process, and expressive art.  This workshop will explore a brief history of Stan Grof’s theories and the history of Holotropic Breathwork followed by a breathwork session.  Schedule for workshop 12pm - 1pm: Introductions  1:30pm - 3:30pm: Breathwork session  3:30 - 4:30: Integration circle  Price: $50
