About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

There's no doubt that a plant-based diet is full of health benefits, but making that jump can feel overwhelming, limiting and confusing. The good news is you don’t have to wake up tomorrow and become a vegetarian to start reaping the benefits of eating more fruits and vegetables and less animal products.

In this class, you will learn how a plant-powered diet differs from a plant-based diet and how a small shift in the way you think and eat can have a big impact on your overall health. By the end of class, you’ll feel inspired to add more plants into your meals without giving up some of your favorite flavors.

We invite you to join Allison Harrell, a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified culinary medicine specialist, in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre for a class that will kickstart the way you and your family eat and enjoy healthy, nutritious foods.

You will see tips, techniques and strategies to incorporate more plants into your diet and encourage a transition into a plant-forward diet. Allison will be making (and you’ll be sampling) the following dishes: Chipotle Sofritas, Edamame Guacamole, and Mango Salsa.

Cancelling Your Reservation: In order to receive a full refund, participants must cancel their program registration at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled start of the program. Center for Health & Wellbeing’s Refund Policy >>>
