Overview

The CORE Initiative and Montessori School of Denver proudly present…

Transformational Tools for Teachers

Teachers! You are inherently creative and vibrant professionals whose passion can be dimmed by the demands of the job.

Transformational Tools for Teachers is not a workshop. It is not a training. It is an experience. An experience that will enhance your skills, your insight and your practices as a teacher.

In a nurturing and playful setting, teachers who join in this week-long intensive will gain tools to support both their professional development and personal transformation. Teachers are the “culture keepers” of our schools—and that role gives them the power and the responsibility—to transform challenges and elevate the learning journey for themselves, their colleagues and their students.

What if it was possible to fulfill all of your teaching responsibilities AND feel more energy, more creativity, and infinitely less stress? This week-long intensive will show you how!

First and foremost, participants can expect to have fun, experience rejuvenation and tap into their passion for the profession. They should also expect to leave the week with expanded notions of what is possible. Participants will be invited to take risks and tend to their own comfort simultaneously.

Training content empowers participants to learn how to…

...listen for and replace blame with insight and action

...cultivate a school culture of appreciation, especially when colleagues appear in opposition

...support colleagues in focusing on the business of school instead of being focused on everybody’s business

...develop strategies to address burnout before it takes root

...recognize that a professional transition can be an exciting move that creates long-term security

...transform complaints and conflicts into communication that connects

...generate peace and ease internally to better face day-to-day challenges and triggers

...increase emotional resilience to bounce back from the inevitable challenges of school life

...identify and capitalize on your unique teaching genius

...channel your powerful creativity into your professional pursuits

REGISTRATION BONUSES:

BONUS #1

In addition to the core content of this course designed to support your professional development goals, participants in Core Initiative events have been known to play with a variety of experiential education opportunities that invite the application of the tools they are learning in real time. Participants in past workshops have played with experiences such as Pilates, laughter yoga, creative writing, vision boarding, mindful eating, guided meditation, aromatherapy, photography, and sculpture. So who knows where this adventure will take you? We have some exciting surprises in store!

BONUS #2

Don’t you just hate it when you have awesome professional development experience and then it just fades into the past? The Core Initiative does too. To prevent the "rear-view mirror syndrome," participants can join TCI’s Private Facebook Group where a community is forming to support YOU in living your passion as an educator.

BONUS #3

Every participant who registers and pays before May 15th will get a private 45-minute coaching session with Dr. Sara Knickerbocker to get a booster dose of support to kick off the first six weeks of the 2018-2019 school year! (Sessions will be scheduled in August for September/early October and will be delivered via video call. Limited to first 15 paid registrants.)

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

Daily Schedule is 9:00 am-4:00 pm. (5:00 om FRIDAY ONLY to allow time for our closing celebration.)

Lunch will be provided all week. We will ask about dietary restrictions one month before the training.

Group rates are available for groups of three or more. Please contact the organizer for more information prior to registering. Additionally, although there are no refunds, we are happy to transfer your paid registration for this event to a friend or colleague if you are unable to attend as planned.

One month prior to the start of our program, you will receive some preparatory materials to ensure you get the most out of this expansive experience! Be on the lookout in your email inbox!
