Our ego is not the same as the essence of our true, spiritual nature, which is who we really are at the core of our being. Our ego can be found in the negative and unpleasant thoughts we experience on a daily basis. It’s that little voice in our head that keeps us feeling separated from one another and the cosmos. The negative stories that we create in our minds become who we think we really are, and not where the truth lies.
We forget who we truly are when we are lost in our own ego. We need to remember that we are spirit and that our ego is our limited identity, which is the many ways we suffer as spirits living a human experience.
