RESERVATION POLICY FOR PROGRAMS

Accepted Answer

As all library programs are free of charge, it is our policy to overbook. In the case of a FULL program, your free reservation may not guarantee admission. We recommend arriving early. Space permitting, unclaimed reservations will be released to standby patrons 15 minutes before the program starts.

STANDBY POLICY

There is no advance waitlist for full programs. Standby patrons will be admitted, subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis, 15 minutes before the start of the program.

Question 3

PARKING

Accepted Answer

Park in the underground Westlawn commercial parking garage located at 524 South Flower Street. On Sundays, when entering the garage after 1:00 p.m. and exiting before 5:00 p.m., parking is a $1.00 flat rate with validation that can be received at the information desk in the Central Library lobby.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Accepted Answer

The Metro Blue Line and Metro Red Line both have stops near Central Library. Most buses that come downtown stop near the Central Library. Check the Metro website for rates, routes and schedules.

MASKS

Please note: Effective Monday, October 3, 2022, masks will no longer be required in city libraries; like in other indoor places, masks are strongly encouraged.
