Workshop 2 Preparation

Define what a principle is (for yourself) and what your principles are. How do you use them to make decisions presently?

Read The Vocation of the Business Leader for definitions of the principles of the Dignity of the Person and the Common Good.

Read an excerpt from Free Hearts by Alexandre Havard on how the virtues of the heart, mind & will impact decision-making.

Agenda

- 15 minutes: explanation of what we'll do during the workshop, how we'll do it, and why

- 50 minutes: learn the language of decision-making in the process visual above and how it works.

- 30 minutes: participants use a case study to learn to use the quad chart to solve problems and why reaching the upper right quadrant or the ultimate common good creates better results compared to what they do presently.

- 50 minutes: then, participants use a current problem they have to practice using the truth to create more options, faster, explain 'why' in a satisfying way and create solutions with better results in the end.

- 30 minutes: debrief, next steps
