Created by the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation for children 2-5 years old, Trail Tykes includes a children’s story read aloud, and a craft/activity or short guided walk. This free program for children and their families takes place every Sunday and Wednesday at 10AM.
Each event runs approximately one hour and each session can accommodate up to 30 children. When registering, reserve only for the number of children ages 2+ in your group.
To help support the program, the MTRP Foundation kindly suggests a $5 donation per family, per session. Contributions can be made through the donation ticket on Eventbrite or in person at the event. While donations are greatly appreciated and help sustain this beloved program, they are entirely optional. This program was created to ensure accessible early childhood education for families throughout San Diego County.
Please meet in the Visitor Center lobby, and the group will head outdoors to the amphitheater or stay indoors if it's too hot or rainy. The MTRP Visitor Center is located at 1 Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego, CA, 92119. Questions? Email the MTRP Foundation at mtrp@mtrp.org.
If you register and cannot attend, please cancel your reservation to allow others to enjoy the program. Thank you!
Trail Tykes is organized and facilitated by the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation and supported through the generosity of MTRP Foundation donors.
