Traditional Cacao Ceremony, Breathwork & Shamanic Drum Journey

Join us for a heart opening evening of releasing and receiving, in the darkness of the new moon. Cacao carries a powerful gentle medicine which nourishes the soul, expands the mind, restores balance and connects the human heart.We honor Cacao’s generosity in sharing in ceremony.

The night will begin with receiving an individual drum cleansing. Then we will share in community, honoring the gifts of Mama Cacao through traditions of Mayan and Mexica history.

Afterwards we will use our breath to release and receive while we journey with shamanic drumming.

What to bring:

• A light blanket
• Eye pillow (or bandana/scarf)
• Journal
• Water bottle

Guided by Yvonne Pérez Emerson: Yvonne is a curandera herbalist and medicine woman. A soul/birth doula, energy weaver, reiki practioner, ceremonial designer, maker and dreamer. She draws inspiration from her ancestral lineage of Mexican and Scottish decent, each rooted in Earth-based practices and cosmic connections. Her intuitive sense has given her the opportunity to lead with heart energy while staying rooted in a conscious relationship with the earth, the elements, the moon, sun, plants, guides and other unseen realms.

She is also the owner of Make & Mary, and Casa de Ritual. Make & Mary is her organic wellness line that she created inside of Casa de Ritual–which is located in the Alberta Arts District. It is a sanctuary for wellness, creativity and community.
