CineCina Film Festival (CineCina) is a New York-based organization aimed at discovering the best Chinese-language cinema. Located in New York, CineCina has the opportunity to exhibit films to more people and promote cultural exchange among diverse audiences. CineCina believes that cinema is a powerful medium that can bridge language differences to convey ideas across different cultural backgrounds. Thus, we hope to build such an outlet to promote cultural exchange and understanding.

<h3>TRACING HER SHADOW 又见奈良</h3>Pengfei 鹏飞 | 2020 | China, Japan | 97 minutes | Mandarin and Japanese with Chinese and English Subtitles | North American PremiereAfter the surrender of Japan in 1945, a large number of Japanese orphans were adopted by families in Northeast China. With the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries in the 1970s and 80s, many orphans returned to Japan, including Lihua, the adopted daughter of Grandma Chen. As she hasn&#x27;t received a reply from Lihua for a long time, Grandma Chen can&#x27;t help but miss her. She goes to Nara to find her. In a foreign country, she meets many war orphans. Their lives reveal another side of war trauma. Owing to cultural differences and conflicts, her journey of tracing Lihua gets complicated.
