Event description

Dear Friend,

Please join Senator Maria Cantwell for a town hall at TEC High School on Saturday, July 8th. Senator Cantwell will answer questions from constituents on a variety of issues and discuss her work in the U.S. Senate.

***Tickets are free and required to attend***

Remember to have your mobile or paper ticket ready for check-in before you attend.

Please DO NOT BRING large bags, backpacks or prohibited items, they will not allowed inside the event.

Please review the below agenda, Q&A, and frequently asked questions before you attend:

10:00 AM - Doors open for check-in

11:00 AM - Event starts

12:30 PM - Event concludes

  • At check-in, attendees who would like to ask a question will be given a raffle ticket. When Q&A begins, tickets will be drawn at random. Attendees with the corresponding tickets will ask a question.

  • If your number is called, please make your way to the nearest aisle as quickly as possible. A staff member will be waiting with a microphone.

  • We expect to be at full capacity. To make sure as many people are allowed to ask a question as possible, please ask only one question and try to keep your question brief.

  • If you don’t have an opportunity to ask a question, don’t worry! We will have stations set up to collect your questions when the event concludes. Every question will receive a response from Senator Cantwell’s office.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

  • Yes. You must show either your printed or mobile ticket at the door.

Can I bring in signs and posters?

  • Signs and posters will not be allowed into the event. We want the town hall to be a good experience for everyone and posters and signs can block the view of people sitting behind you as well as pose a safety risk.

Can I bring my backpack or a large bag?

  • Backpacks and large bags will not be allowed into the event for security reasons. We will not be able to store bags for attendees.

Are there any other prohibited items?

  • The following items are prohibited: Firearms, knives, air horns, glass bottles, cans, picnic baskets, bota bags, ice chests, and thermoses. Any other items deemed by school staff and/or law enforcement to be unsafe or disruptive are prohibited.

Can I bring in food or beverages?

  • Food and beverages will not be allowed inside the event. There will be staff members to help you locate the nearest drinking fountain once you have entered the event.

What can I do to make sure the event runs smoothly?

  • Please help us create a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Be respectful, silence your cell phones, and refrain from using profanity.

  • For safety, please do not stand on furniture or block aisles or fire exits.

What are my transportation or parking options for getting to and from the event?

  • We recommend using public transportation as parking is limited.

What if I need special accommodations?

  • All event spaces are ADA-compliant. If you would like further assistance, please email TownHall@cantwell.senate.gov
