Tours are held for the general public every first and third Thursday of the month. Reserving your spot via EventBrite is highly recommended.
To reach our location, parking the Canal Place parking lot outside of Missing Falls Brewery and R. Shea Brewing. You will see a sign above a door that says "Building 1, 2 & 4." Enter through that door and look for signs pointing you to Akron Makerspace. You will head straight back, down the ramp and take a sharp left after the double doors to the elevator. Take the elevator to the fifth floor and we'll be ready and waiting for you!

Frequently asked questions
Yes! We highly recommend reserving a spot in advance. This gives us a headcount and helps us coordinate our volunteers. If there is a tour date with no sign-ups, we do not schedule tour guide volunteers for that date.
Yep, absolutely free. However, if you want a demonstration of our cool UFO donation collection system, bring some coins or bills you don't mind donating to the Space.

The parking lot at Canal Place outside of R. Shea is available for any guests of Canal Place tenants (that's us!). Please do NOT park in the Missing Falls parking lot.
We do our best to keep Akron Makerspace accessible, but some items are out of our control. As we're in an old industrial building, the elevator may occasionally be down for repair. There are handicap parking spots available in the parking lot and ramps leading up to both doors.
