About this event

Dirrick Butler will present on how Project OneTen is working to measure relationship development and student growth for ninth-grade young men in their program. Dirrick Butler is the founder and executive director of Project OneTen, a mentorship and academic coaching program for 9th grade Black and Brown boys in Chicago. Project OneTen focuses on the transition to high school and aims to empower Black and Brown boys to recognize and develop their strengths, academic confidence, and innate brilliance.

The To&Through Data Collaborative is a space for the presentation and discussion of new work in education data in Chicago. The group meets to hear about a new body of work and give feedback on a problem of practice or project. During each presentation, we aim to accomplish three goals:

  • Build community among educational leaders focused on educational equity.
  • Highlight innovative and emerging educational/youth-serving data work.
  • Provide honest and actionable feedback to help improve our colleagues' work.

RSVPs will be required in order for guests to receive the Zoom information prior to each session, however, the sessions are open to everyone! If you have any questions or would like to be added to or removed from the listserv, please email dmckoy@uchicago.edu.
